Last update: March 03 2008

March 03 2008

Finally finished the stems.

 Feb 26 2008

Started to chisel and plane the stem. Decided to first make one stem completely and then to tackle the second one.

Feb 25 2008

All 3 strips which make the outer stem glued on.

Feb 24 2008

Temperature is still not really warm enough to expoxy so I have used Poly-Pox Harder 455 which can be used down to a temperature of 5ºC for glueing the stems.

The hardener gives a yellow colour to the epoxy which I guess is OK for glueing the stems to the boat but not for applying the glass layer.

Added some West systems filet to make the glue.

The outer stems I made last november do not fit perfectly. Have decided to make them again!

Fitting before glueing.

This time I am glueing the strips directly onto the boat.  First one strip and thereafter I will glue the other two strips onto the first strip.
